Westonbirt Sportshall, Westonbirt.
During 2005 Booth & Bomford were involved in the design and build for the new sportshall at Westonbirt School, Westonbirt.
The project consisted of all mechanical and electrical services including the mains power distribution, small power, lighting, emergency lights, fire alarm, lightning protection, CCTV, security and mechanical controls wiring along with the new plant room, hot and cold water, LPHW and underfloor heating, ventilation and associated controls.
The heating system included under floor heating within the wet changing areas, traditional radiators within the corridors and changing areas and radiant panels to heat the large sports hall.
The ventilation system was designed to use air handling equipment along with duct work and supply and extract grilles within the ceilings to provide the required air changes within the building.
Electrically the lighting was designed and installed to provide enough light in the work areas and also to provide lighting in the event of a power failure to allow a safe evacuation of the building.
